This guide provides detailed information about the archives, manuscripts, and related collections available for research in the Department of Rare Books and Special Collections at Tarlton Law Library.  One of the main goals of the Tarlton Law Library's archival and manuscript collection is to collect, preserve, and make available the records of enduring value created by The University of Texas School of Law.

The collections chronicle the outstanding contributions that Law School faculty and alumni have made to the legal institutions of Texas and the United States. The collections also contain valuable materials relevant to legal history and the history of legal education in Texas and the United States.
